Hardness of tpu material

TPU, a common material, has high tension, strong toughness and aging resistance performance. It is a mature environmental protection material.

The hardness of TPU is between rubber and plastic, and it can be processed into products for different purposes by methods such as extrusion, injection molding, blow molding, calendering, and melt spinning.

The hardness of TPU coated webbing is higher than that of PVC, generally the hardness is 85A. Of course,there are various of hardness for TPU. For exmaple, 70A, 75A, 80A, 90A, etc. It's known to all that plastic materials have a large range of hardness to meet various requirement and usage. Which hardness to choose is up to your needs.

TPU also can be applied to the lining of automobile tires, conveyor belts, mine sorting screens, printing rubber rollers, waterproof materials and paving materials, sealing rings, shoe heels, etc. However, its price is high, which leads to higher cost of final products. Besides, the processing temperature range of tpu is narrow. That makes it difficult to process TPU. So, due to the higher cost and the harder processing difficulty, we still have a long way to go in TPU industry.
